Via someone on here, I've came upon finding out that a work I did years ago was copied into a paid advertising. I've seen my stuff used a lot on the internet, either by some t-shirt contest entry, carless reblogging or what not. I've just learned to accept that the internet is what it is and things like that can never be fully prevented. I've almost turned a blind eye to it. This one however really hits my nerves, as you would think a big agency like Y&R would have enough money to actually hire people that can be original..

Dear Mr. Amichay,
I've recently found out about the Mercedes Benz print campaign your ad agency did. I love the art-direction and idea in all of the executions! One thing I'd like to point out however is a particular issue I have with one of them (see link below)
About 5 or 6 years ago I've done a very similar design as a teenager
I want to make you aware of the obvious similarities between the two. It's quite easy to come up with some funky visual concept portraying the right brain. Anybody can easily think of abstract snazzy stuff representing our creative thoughts. But something this similar? From the handwritten outlined brain, to how the colors are laid out. From the top red to bottom blue rainbow arrangment, and the doodles that come out of it. Not to mention the shadow on the brain base and how the parts of the brain are colored in identically.
I understand and still believe that your ad agency continually strives (as you would put it) for innovation and not just creativity. To steal an idea and make it your own, instead of flat out borrowing. This has been all over the internet and was brought to my attention by an anonymous user from adsoftheworld. Simply google "Sucha Lefty" in the pictures section on google and you can find it everywhere. I honestly don't know why, since it was something I've done when I was very young. But it sure caught on with a lot of people as far back as years ago. Which I can safely assume your art directors Gil Avivyam, Dror Nachumi have stumbled upon. I encourage you to rethink who you hire and trust to carry your company's banner of true relentless innovation.
